Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of non-exempt and exempt employees, while managing the day-to-day operations and financial performance of one subspecialty practice, with additional oversight of one to two other locations within the region.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate daily operations to ensure efficient patient flow and deployment of shared clinical space, in order to maximize patient throughput and minimize wait times.

2. Develop and implement standardized operational processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.

3. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

4. Recruit, train and retain staff to ensure a high-performing and engaged workforce.

5. Responsible for the ongoing development of employee engagement initiatives

6. Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies to maximize resource utilization and minimize expenses.

7. Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including healthcare providers, administrators, and support staff.

8. Serve as a representative of the organization in the regions to enhance visibility and reputation.

9. Other duties as assigned.

Technical Expertise

1. Strong leadership and team management skills.

2. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

3. Proficient in data analysis, financial management, and project management.

4. Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and resource allocation.

5. Proficiency in using Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Education and Experience

1. Education: Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration required. In lieu of an Associate's degree, minimum four years of experience in healthcare leadership is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

2. Licensure: Not applicable.

3. Certification: Certificate in Healthcare Management required within two years of the role.

4. Years of relevant experience: Minimum of three years in healthcare leadership, (preferably overseeing multiple facilities, sites, or programs), required.

5.  Experience in ophthalmology, optometry, or optical settings preferred.
