Summary:

The Learning and Development Program Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is committed to leading and supporting the development and execution of organization wide diversity, equity, and inclusion learning strategies, programs, and workshops that reflect the organization’s priorities. This role will involve planning and driving execution of all aspects of DEI learning initiatives and programs, including needs analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation. 

Responsibilities:

1. Strong understanding of current DEI trends and tools, and ability to stay aware of quickly changing national DEI related rules and regulations.

2. Act as local subject matter expert (SME) on DEI training initiatives and partner with stakeholders and colleagues on selection, design, and engagement in DEI learning initiatives.

3. Create DEI training curriculum, participant guides, handouts, job aids, evaluation measurement tools ensuring that all materials are consistent with learning principles.

4. Conduct training needs assessments and analyses to determine specific training needs. Regularly review DEI learning and development needs of stakeholders across the organization while establishing goals, objectives, and content to address skills gaps.

5. Lead efforts to create innovative development experiences using modern instructional design methodologies.

6. Work with department leaders to identify actionable steps and leadership commitment for training programs. Works with leaders to identify pre and post measurements needed for ROI on major learning initiatives.

7. Conduct follow up assessment of DEI learning experience to evaluate and measure results and modify programs based on findings, as needed.

8. Monitor changes and governmental laws and regulation to ensure that training remains current.

9. Create professional development and training for leaders to ensure they are creating an environment conducive to maximum DEI outcomes.

10. Develop and implement training and professional development on topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Collaborates with HR to ensure organization leadership training and development is inclusive for all.

11. Develop content and deliver train-the trainer offerings.

12. Effectively manages vendor relationships. Work with vendors and contractors to identify and deliver trainings.

13. Develop a diversity, equity, and inclusion training continuum for the organization and monitor the trainings impact on the organization priority areas.

14. Design and track metrics to measure effectiveness of training on the workforce.

15. Design, implement, and evaluate anti-racism, cultural competency and diversity, equity, and inclusion trainings, workshops, dialogues and other race-related programs and activities.

16. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

17. Maintain high levels of confidentiality when working with sensitive and personal client, vendor, employee, and contract information.

18. Effectively deal with sensitive information and occurrences.

19. Display consistent professionalism and courtesy when dealing with internal and external customers.

20. Other duties as required. 

Other information:

Technical Expertise

1. Experience working with multiple levels of the organization, including executives, physician leaders, and physicians.

2. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak persuasively in public.

3. Proven experience in program development and evaluation; ability to collect, interpret and persuasively use data.

4. Must possess advance knowledge of current diversity, equity, and inclusion trends, theories, practices, and pedagogies.

Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree with 6 years' relevant experience required.  Master's degree preferred with 5 years' relevant experience.  Doctorate in Education with a focus on learning and development, professional development, or organizational development highly preferred.

2. Certification: Certified Diversity Professional (CDP). CDP required within one year of employment required.

3. Years of Relevant Experience: Minimum four (4) years relevant experience directly related to learning and development and DEI.
