What to expect in Akron Children’s interview process.
Step 1: Submitting Your Application
Candidates apply online and are encouraged to complete the full application, including detailed work history and relevant experience. A resume can be attached but is not required.Step 2: Application Review
After applying, a recruiter reviews applications in partnership with the hiring manager. If your background aligns with the role, a recruiter will reach out to schedule a screening call. If not selected, candidates are notified by email.Step 3: Recruiter Phone Screen
Selected candidates participate in a 30-minute phone screening with an Akron Children’s recruiter. This conversation helps both sides determine alignment and is often the first opportunity to discuss experience, interests and career goals.Preparation matters. This is your chance to clearly communicate what you’re looking for and how your experience aligns with the role.
Step 4: Hiring Manager Interview
If you move forward, you’ll interview with the hiring manager. Your recruiter can share expectations for this step, including whether shadowing is required for the role.Step 5: Final Steps
Final candidates may be required to complete background, drug and nicotine screenings prior to employment, as Akron Children’s maintains a drug-, nicotine- and weapon-free workplace.Ready to take the next step? Explore our opportunities and see what it’s like to work with Akron Children’s.
